It's a miracle that Paul Franklin is still alive. On January 15, 2006 he was serving as a Forces medical technician in Afghanistan when he was a victim of a suicide bombing. Franklin's left leg was blown off. The fast actions of another solider saved his life. He eventually lost the other leg in surgery. Franklin is now training military medics in Australia and he's become an advocate for wounded Canadian soldiers and a bit of a liaison for them to the Canadian military.

  • Sounds like a great guy but he doesn't seem to play pedal steel as well as the "other" Paul Franklin ;).

From this vid though this guy is one hell of a cool strong guy - Total respect to these guys.
