all you need to do is connect a ethernet cable to the laptop and it can connect? because i did but when i switch the wireless button off it wont connect to the internet

Hi there,I`m from Bosnia..... as you`re a prof..could you pls tell me how can I connect my laptop an pc on the net trought one DSL modem, so they could be connected both at the same time...I`ve connect laptop and pc trought LAN cabels with the modem, but I can`t use them to connect to the internet both at the same time... thank you :D !!!
