I walked up Peavine in 1974 or 75, taking the old road up, and descending through the brush and stopping for a short swim in the upper pond behind Black Springs. It damn near killed my 34 year-old legs, but it was for me a singularly great challenge. The last 100 yards to the summit was the hardest thing I'd ever done. I went again with 2 girlfriends in August that same year...it was the coldest recorded day in Aug. (snowed on us)... were challenged by a territorial badger on the way.

let me guess; this vid is from the east side of peavine by redrock road or silver knolls? I live in Reno also, on the south side of peavine.
