Original Dead Squirrel, Girl, Greyhound...Unnexpected

May, 2008 our newly adopted (leased!) Greyhound, Ivy unexpectedly walked right up to a healthy squirrel standing stock still & quick as lightning, killed it with one shake. She dropped it & walked on, my husband behind her, his jaw agape. I went to retrieve the squirrel to reverently bury it. I ducked in the house for a shovel. Meanwhile..our daughter picked it up..with so much love.

i dont think by doing this, she has "discovered" death. i mean, i dont blame the girl...shes a little kid, she doesnt know better...but the parents should have deff told her to play with something else....come on.

The parents should be happy they have a child that likes to be adventurous and outgoing , rather than a child that wants to sit around in diapers watching the Kardasians or some Disney crap,  The parents should however warn her of the health dangers of playing with dead things- like in that movie "Momma said not to play with dead things"

@RKtennis1 Probably not, but I'm not the girls parents. I think children should be able to discover death in their own way, and I think this is beautiful. Why must we try to scare children with a fact that will happen to us all. Plus, as I stated...her father said she was getting a bath right afterwards. Plus, you can check the channel the little girl is now 8 I think, and perfectly healthy and well adjusted.
