@jamesbrassill Senna died in a Williams... engine was Renault
-
@jamesbrassill yup, that's exactly the most controversy case that F1 and FIA have had.

@elzapatita Ayarton Sennas death is a very good example of this. It was even a Renault car. Roland Ratzenberger was killed Saturday fallowed by Ayrton Sennas death during the race the next day.

Good year for Renault, not a good year for the Lotus team...
-
@MurphysLaww you mean renault

not a good year for Lotus...

Agreed but I guess they didn't do it because it would interfere to much with the race result and because it wasn't in a corner. They could have put two cars in front of the marshals a couple of meters before them, like a temporary barrier.

can´t they just put red flags until they turn the fire off and put away the car and the debris?
it was very dangerous for the marshalls to be at the very border of the circuit and at the exit of the boxes, as i remember, Alonso almost hit the lotus car when they were towing it inside the pits

@jorn89 anyway, thru the years, F1 hasn't showed to much care for the marshalls or even the drivers, as drivers can die in the qualis and nevertheless, the race will resume on sunday, like they say, show must go on.
