Very few people who invest in screen printing equipment actually realize the steps; practice and learning that they will need to do to gain quality and consistence in the end result: the print. The 'marketeers' will not admit that to you as it goes against the 'smiley' marketing that sells equipment for them...but the truth does not bother me to share with you.
Nothing is better than the sum of it's parts and it is VERY true of screen printing. EACH step from picking ; coating; exposing the screen...to the correct marriage of ink; squeegee technique to shirt fabric type and color has direct affect on not only the print quality, but how much confidence and fun you will have as you progress.
Unlike the marketeers who's bottom line is really SALES...I respect the SP process for what it is and I can only hope that those buying equipment will commit to using and learning it as I have honestly committed to learning it for many years and now offering that attention and skill to others in the form of what I make and what I REALLY DO know about SP.
I have been in SP over 30 years. I you are going to give up in a week or a month...please rethink your entry into screen printing. In that case there is no reason for you to buy anything from anybody...and I hate to see people throw money after an illusion that was marketed to them. ONE entity benefits from that...the marketeer. Screen printing will give you NO more than you put into it, Some of it is relatively easy, but even the easy jobs require correct knowledge and use of specific tools and techniques. Your progress into multicolor and more difficult jobs depends on your ability to get better at and expand on those basic techniques. Buying equipment will not make you a screen printer. buying 6 screens and squeegees will not make you a 6 color screen printer.
I build the equipment to support the progress from the start and as it is EARNED, later on by those who do the practice. I will NEVER pose a whiz-bang website or mass marketing campaign that is emotion and non-reality based. If you are not serious about screen printing...I would rather help you realize that before you spend money on non reality based systems. If you ARE serious about screen printing; starting at the start and having the system and the true knowledge backing it up(those who are serious and progressing WILL have questions)...YOU are the only kind of interest I prefer to invest my build time in and for. I have a garage full of screen printing and other stuff I do from skill and enjoyment of whatever that may be.
NOWHERE do I have a graph telling me when and how many people I built equipment for and/or 'need to'.
I am a real screen printer that is only looking for those who really want to get into real deal screen printing and not get ripped off or fooled by things that have little to do with real screen printers of real screen printing. Those who buy from me and stay in touch as they grow KNOW how true that is. Anything less wastes my time and yours.
I'm not trying to be another 'craft store' version or merely 'budget version' of screen printing. I have spent too many years and in too many phases of SP, to revert to that. My goal and actual practice, is to introduce pro tools and methods to those who want to learn SP and save them money where and when it makes sense in the process AND YET does not disrespect the needs of the process.
Screen printing is not 'rocket science'...but it is also not 'a piece of cake'. It is not for everybody who can buy equipment and yet is IS for the person who has the motivation; patience and drive to learn what real screen printers already know: Right tools...right skills...gets right results. And when you grow in and become comfortable in ALL of that then it is one lot of FUN too!
Screen printing is 'in my blood'! and THAT is a very different kind of person and result than marketeers can or ever could understand.
I remember the very first person I ever sold equipment to. Beth and her kids. She was a valid person(not a number) BEFORE she trusted me to help her into and along in SP. I have never seen my customers as any less than people who are ALREADY wise in their own right and are looking for somebody to respect their desire to learn and do something new.
I do. I remember my own first days, mos weeks, years in screen printing and there is much I want others to know and just as much that I want them to be spared going through. THAT is how the 'real approach' works, and only experience can share it...it is NOT a marketing plan. It is knowledge and skills based on YEARS of immersion and experience.
I think you have great info, but you take forever to get to the point. I think I'll pass on any other video if they are like this one.

@patrole101 That's fine...you failed 'the test'. If you cannot listen to me make the points that need to be made(and not the points YOU with no skills or experience 'think' I should be making?)then you will never get too far in screen printing. I imagine you waste all kinds of time on TV or vid games and yet you have no time for the voice of VARIED and real experience. So then don't even think you have the patience to print hundreds/thousands of tees, day in and day out. Bye!!!!

ok... I must have hit fast forward about 11 times... he talks A LOT! I was just trying to get his VS comparisons for a LOW END user not a professional person.... I know Yudu is not the best device ever but for people who just use it for craft reasons and don't care about the professional aspects I wanted to hear him talk about THAT not getting into the pro side of things... sure Yudu might be around 200-300 but when you compare it to getting into real screen printing that's just chump change...

@RMDelete Yudu is the WORST equipment out there. I guess I will just have to silently laugh to myself that you have no patience to learn from a pro (about how the good things even a beginner needs to know and have)but you will struggle along for who knows how long...with the WORST geat and supplies in SP. Looks like my videos and what I have to say are not YOUR real problem. WHEN you are NOT AFRAID in learning to even be a good beginner...it won't be on a yudu. Comments toward me? :D :D :D

From my experience, people who talk as much you do to convince people to buy their products are not selling a good product. You keep talking about knowing what you are talking about, yet you are the one screen printing in a laundry room.

@epohnopulse I approved your comment, so I would OWN you with a little truth. I have over 30 years all over the west in EVERY phase of SP. I work out of my home because THAT is what saves people money and I HAVE the most accurate and cost effective. skills backed equipment available. over 3,200 personally build and sold BECAUSE my ethics are honest and my skill is real. Do I care if a small majority does not 'get' that??? NO. Don't talk from experience you clearly do not have. RE: SP or ME.
