I'm so glad my parents brought me to their family cookouts and reunions with mostly the oldies music was all they played, I learned staple singers, marvine gaye, curtis mayfield, the impressions, al green, isaac hayes and much more from listening to what my parents and grandparents listened to.

@snorlax140 wow....... so cool to see a youngster with some varied appreciation of music.... most kids your age dont know shi outside Lil Wayne and Drake..... dont get me wrong... I like some of that 2.... but alot of kids are just ignorant to the fact that there is alot more out there........

@snorlax140 ok.... i was just making a point.... when i was a kid (born 1968) musical artists had MUCH more longevity...... look at guys like too short that had like 15 albums...... nowadays.... artists are here today and gone tomorrow.... not many musicians last long anymore.... peace.
