At the 2010 Sturgis Mustang Ralley Dyno pulls with an 03 Terminator Cobra with twin Hellion Turbos blowing into a Kenne Bell Supercharger. Very mean machine. Pulled 738 rwhp on this day, but the car has done 796. Had some oil in the Mass Air meter.

  • Fudge, I made more power than that with JUST a whipple, lol and NO turbos.

  • @Jeremys98GT Difference between roots and twin screw is just the direction airflow is sent. Twin screw goes down the middle lowers air temps and roots diverts air around the outside then down. Roots is the most inefficient blower out there higher running temps and lowers hp per lb of boost compared to a twin screw. Neither should be paired with turbos. If you remove the blower the twin turbos will actually produce more power. The only purpose is to reduce turbo lag and for a flat hp/tq curve

  • @jacob50566 How can you hate turbo's!? Lol they are pretty much the most efficient, most reliable power adder. And they sound soo sexy, especially an STS setup on a V8 (Look up CTS STS, or watch the Vette video on my channel). They do have Lag, but S/C's have a parasitic effect. Both have their pro's and con's I just don't see how you could hate one and like the other lol

  • its easy to set up a compound system you just have to have a bypass tube for the blower... and to keep boost for the turbo... or have a clutch system on the nose of the blower to disengage it once it hits a certain boost level/rpm

  • @jacob50566 *only thing bad about turbos are the lag.... and that's only noticeable if you didnt build your motor correctly or choose the best size turbo. Its especially noticeable in single setups. But if you know how to correctly build up a turbo setup, it will outperform an identical setup with a blower 9/10 times. all depends on compensating for lag. you blower guys have to worry about getting traction when you launch, eliminating belt slip, and making decent high end power lol.

  • @need2speed94 Not exactly lol My friend has owned a turbo camaro and a supercharged mustang, with the same boltons and the mustang was alot faster, lol and I just hate turbos

  • @jacob50566 so your basing your opinion off how they sound? lol you know nothing.

  • @need2speed94 Turbos may add more horsepower but at the end of the day they are fucking annoying and the supercharger sounds so much meaner and better then a turbo. a turbo sounds like a dying animal.

  • @need2speed94 so damn true although i have known a couple people to use an f2 on there cobras for street use fucking insane :D

  • @demohobgobln you can't say the f series are bad... once you take a look at how huge they are you know they make monsterous power. They're almost impractical for anything less than a full time strip car hah

  • @need2speed94 this is true as the parasitic load needed to spin a blower does take power to make power but turbos still need to spool I take nothing away from either set up all . Just figured you might have forgotten about the f series blowers but even you acknowldge how great they are . Finally somebody on you tube that doesn't have there head up there ass lol

  • @demohobgobln I won't have to say anything. I think a big 88mm+ turbo whistling by after the 1/8th mile mark says enough ;) ...those are great blowers, can't deny (along with f2s and f4s)... but at the end of the day, a blower still takes power to make power :)
