im not very good at applying foundation so i use this technique, finding it easiest on myself.... my question is...
the skin under my eyes is quite thin and dark and is not at all smooth, often puffy too... i find adding foundation or concealer makes it stand out. even using yellow concealer does not help... what would you recommend?
just found your channel today. love you vids. you're so easy to watch. thanks for the info :)

a quick tip is to dampen your sponge a little so the sponge doesn't absorbs as much foundation.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial!!! Very useful tips!

@nellywellyful you should stipple. The beauty blender is a sponge which requires no dragging at all on the skin. It is kinda expensive though and they have knock offs. You could try that. Hope I helped ^-^

@nellywellyfull i remember watching a video that said brushes can act as an exfoliant on dry skin. It actually causes the flakes, and since your adding the foundation, the flakes stay on your skin causing it to look flaky

i heard that for dry skin it is better to apply foundation with a sponge.. so this is why i came across this video. everything on my face when i apply liquid foundation with a brush is fine until we get to my forehead. my forehead looks really flakey & weird
any tips as to how to fix this?? i would really appreciate it!!
what primer do you use? Great video! :)

I am 33 years old now and have distinct memories of my mother always using a sponge for her foundation application. The days of Merle Norman and full coverage foundation, but it always looked so natural and pretty on her because she used a sponge. Now today, I use the 187 but have found myself starting to alternate with the sponge. It is funny how something so small can really dig up memories as a little girl starting my makeup obsession. Love your videos and where is that husband of yours??
