WLS Channel 7 - The 3:30 Movie - "Jason And..." (Open, 1978)

Well, here it is - the opening to The 3:30 Movie on WLS Channel 7!! The movie was Jason and the Argonauts - unfortunately the beginning of the film cuts off the last couple seconds of the theme song - which you can hear in the bumpers, which I will post.

Funny, but I've seen these graphics elsewhere - they were also used for the same era's The Late Movie on WLS - except of course for the title change, everything else was the same - same swirling star graphics, same music too. Oh well. Anticlimactic? You decide. ;-)

So can anyone tell us any more about this opening or the music that was used in it? At least we've put one thing to rest - The 3:30 Movie opening and music was NOT the same one as The 4:30 Movie.

Includes an quick Station ID slide and PSA voiceover by Al Parker at the beginning.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Wednesday, December 27th 1978.
