Veterans Day 2011 - American Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary is the world's largest women's patriotic service organization, and we work tirelessly to help veterans and military families all year long. Our nearly 850,000 members contributed 6.4 million hours of service and raised or spent $10 million to help veterans and military families in our 2010-2011 administrative year. ALA members are a strong and dependable presence at welcome-home celebrations for troops and at local Veterans Affairs hospital facilities, where 77,190 regularly scheduled ALA volunteers contributed 829,044 hours in 2010-2011.
