@Shunpo, the movie was "The Pit and the Pendulum". When I was growing up, Uncle Vinney as he was called in my house, was the horror master of his day. We called him Uncle Vinney because we shared the same last name and the same actual family tree "roots" in Wales.

@springmist775 The Pit and The Pendulum has always been one of my favorites. Also check out Dr. Phibes! Another one of my favorites is The Mad Magician, but its a little tricky to find. All of his movies are such great fun, I suggest getting a list on IMDB and checking them all off one by one!! :-D
