seriously, the Mayans can take that fucking calender and shove it up their ass. you know the mayans NEVER said that the world would end on december 21 2012. they just stopped making the calender, so every fuckin dumbass just assumes "OH ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AHHHH" but they dont realize that maybe something could have happened, for instance, what if they just got tired of making it? they were probably like "ummm okay why are we doing this?" or maybe the calender guy died or something, cmon

@arrestedshrimp well said... it might not even be a calendar! It could be their interpretation of a solar cycle and if so it's round... how the fuck would it end? Just start over again... Really... what the fuck would they need a calendar for? They had jobs, no schedules... nowhere to be. They just lived to survive really... eat, shit, build stuff and sleep. That's all... Well if you look at the mayen calender it dosent hove a hole in it at the end it just starts all over again. It is just like when you fall asleep at night the world as you know it comes to a end and each day is a new begining Just like the long year described in the mayen calender.

About that magnetic shifting of the poles, even if it doesn't completely eliminate the earths magnetic field, won't it still screw up navigation? If compasses and other tools can't get a true reading of magnetic north, how will ships and planes know they're on the correct course and not be colliding into things?
