Meat Loaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light (Live @ Old Grey Whistle Test)
Message from singer Karla de Vito:
"When you have time, would you mind adding the names of the original BOOH tour live band playing on this track to your note on the upload? Here they are:
Jim Steinman - piano (songwriting god himself, of course!)
Joe Stefko - drums
Steve Buslowe - bass
Paul Glanz- electronic keyboards
Bob Kulick - guitar
Bruce Kulick - guitar
We toured non stop for a year and a half; we ALL pushed that rock up the mountain -- our live band performance at the CBS (pre-sony) convention in New Orleans in January of 1978 is what finally knocked the sock off CBS prez. Walter Yetnikov and all the music exec's getting them fully on board. They literally were standing on their tables screaming and cheering for us!
Rock and roll exec., Steve Popovich who had his own Cleveland International Records Label under CBS was the only one clanging the BAT bell up until then -- one exec at Epic literally pulled it out of Steve's hands and threw the BOOH album in the east river before seeing our live performances!!!
Love seeing the players get their due. Many thanks!!!

October, 1977, Orpheum Theatre, Boston Mass.
I WAS THERE................for this volcanic performance..........two months or so later I witnessed David Lee Roth and VH.............BOTH on their virgin tours in a 2000 seat theatre in Boston................
How lucky am I ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Check the sidebar for "Meat Loaf 1978 HQ - Live at Rockpalast Complete." Or do a YouTube search. Concert a month or two after this performance on Old Grey Whistle Test. Karla DeVito is amazing!

Meat Loaf never went on stage with any female singer who wasn't a hot, sizzling babe. Karla is the most gorgeous. Check her out in "Dance in My Pants" Jim Steinman video.

She may not be Miss Universe but I like her face; it's very expressive. She looks like a girl from the Roaring Twenties. The way she acts makes her attractive.

Ahh fair enough yes that makes sense, there's all kinds of different forms of Pop I suppose, I was just kidding anyways.

Pop music = popular non-classical music, and there are many genres. The Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, Ike & Tina Turner, David Bowie, Meat Loaf... they all made or make pop music.
