European royalty have married girls under 10 years old, it was acceptable in Medieval times. We can't judge people from the past in relation to todays norms.

She wasn't a child and there are plenty of sources which contradict this claim. There are two groups of people who are responsible for perpetuating this, in my opinion. The first are skeevy Muslim men who want to marry children, and the second is people who hate Islam and want to discredit the prophet. If he was a pedophile, why wouldn't he marry many children? He certainly could have quite easily, but instead his only other choices were widows and divorced women.

It's amazing that so many muslims believe the 6 y/o allegation just because the related hadith are in Sahih Bukhari... as if Sahih Bukhari is in some way 100% infallible. If Imam Bukhari rejected over 200,000 hadith in compiling his great work, then that's a good sign that the whole "science" of hadith is fundamentally flawed and should not be treated without sceptism.

@thundermaggie182 Thank you for that. It was a very interesting article but it's sad that many Muslims will accept something that doesn't sit right just because a hadith says it's ok. Many hadith are inaccurate and contradictory as the article proves.

i think the age of aisha (r.a.) has been distorted by the illuminati, they say the prophet(pbuh) married aisha at 6 and had intercourse with her at 9, now i think the true age is probably 16 and 19, if u look at numerology, the number 11 has some sort of meaning, and the illuminati are known for using numerology, remember that all the religions have been infiltrated by the illuminati including islam to create confusion. research the number 11, and this will make sense to you.
