Joan Baez ~ YOU AIN`T GOIN` NOWHERE ~ B.Dylan

Another great interpretation of a Bob Dylan song. Joan brings out the melody and softness of any Dylan song. He writes it, she sings it. "Anyday Now" is a great collection of Bob Dylan songs sung by Joan. A collection of songs long ago abandoned by Dylan.

  • I heard this track played on Peterborough FM, on The Golden Years programme last Saturday, do look up this programme online if you have the chance, he plays some rare Joan Baez sometimes

  • i love joan

  • @louiecostello well, I's around then already - my first love - a little older than I - had just returned from America, and she used to have Joanie's first records in her collection; so I was aware of the voice; the Manfred Mann introduced * God on our side *, Dylan's * Blowin' in the wind * was huge before * Rolling Stone * hit the waves, there were peace/equal rights and easter/anti-nuclear marches, and Joan was one of the faces for that; european appreciation, maybe

  • @twangville its even better to discover her for the first time, especially after passing over her for so long as she was "just bob dylans girlfriend." ive been a fool!

  • @louiecostello nay, not so sure about it - yet the question remains; and it's always a pleasure to rediscover Joanie;

  • @twangville actually makes me angry!

  • Bob Dylan and Joan Baez actually were boyfriend/girlfriend for about 4 yrs or so

  • @louiecostello yes; at times I keep asking myself this questions, too

  • Joan you are going every where! Always.

  • I'm 64 and it's odd, but I didn't appreciate just how good was Joan Baez's work back in those days in the mid-sixties when it was all new. That's the beauty of You Tube: I can catch up on such omissions now, at leisure. It was worth the wait. She's excellent to listen to. I wish you all peace and well-being.
