A stop motion short made in Tenafly Middle School, for an eighth grade music class. Features music from the Gregorian age, the Baroque Time Period, and...Disco!
Originally shot on a VHS video camera without any still frame capability at all, it was recently reedited to look a little smoother. Nonetheless, it's extremely rough and should be watched more as a museum piece rather than anything else!
Ironically, it is the most complex animation I have ever done, in terms of sets, costumes, and even a fog machine and laser lights....for the disco scene!

  • lmao, you skipped a huge chunk i see.

    what grade did you get?

  • Well, that was part of the joke of it all...to just focus on three very different styles of music that don't relate...and instead just show how over the years the same building was occupied with each bit of music.

As for what grade, I think I got an A for the amount of crazy work I put into this thing, even though it was crazy rough. I think everyone else in the class just wrote short essays, so my film, though a joke of sorts, sort of stood out. Yep.

  • Haha, good stuff.

  • fantastic!!! loved it!!

  • really!, congratz, hehehe!

  • lol, love the seamless transition between baroque music, and disco :-p awesome

  • The sets and costumes were really a nice touch, it's too bad you were lacking in equipment/experience when you made this. I think it might be worthwhile to try something like this again, just for fun. Clay animation mostly seems to have lost its novelty these days, but if you get an idea for a neat concept it would be cool to see more of this stuff.
