@strawberrygirrl I know it has been 2 years ago that you wrote this comment but I just want to add that it may be your unconscious guilt or fear of the using of the cards. A lot of people think they may unlock dangerous doors in the psyche, or there may be religious roots to this too.

Do you.. read the cards towards yourself when setting it up for someone else. Like do the cards pictures for a positive deck; face you. and the reversals face them... or ?

I looked it up in some books, and in the book that I read it said that they deck can be placed by the bed of the beginner. Go easy with the cards and check in with your feelings regularly.

I'm new to the tarot. I heard that its a good idea to sleep with your cards to iniate yourself with them. I did so and had the most unnerving dreams.
