  • My background is one colored and I did everything you said,but my Eraser tool doesn't erase background color :(

  • @nikolapfc2010 That's because the background does not have an alpha channel. Right click on the layer and select add alpha channel. I think that's the issue.

  • In order to have the checkered background, add an alpha channel. You can do that via your layers menu. ;)

  • Whenever i do the erase part(tryed every step),instead of showing me a checkered background,it shows me white,what shall i do?

  • If your image won't turn transparent, right click on the layer and choose Add Alpha channel. Then follow this.

  • how do you edit so that you want the main image and thats it, there's no background at all. when you save it and re-open theres no background
