  • not a very good silencer it seems, or that just the echo?

  • its actually a very good silencer, but when the bullet strikes its target its still loud

  • lets see ur profile says that ur 22 yrs. old so you probably don't know shit about guns or "surpressors" and also the "surpressor" that is in the video really isn't considered shitty by any means. I always thought that Gemtech was a good name as far as supressors go but maybe you could give me some more insight on which ones are good

  • that's a real silencer? shit is loud still

  • it still is loud, the purpose of a silencer is not to make the gunshot silent it is only to make the gunshot quieter and make it so it doesn't sound like a gun going off

  • It is still loud because they are using super sonic ammunition. Get some 147grain 9mm and it will be almost movie quiet.

  • @Mattletic you watch too many movies...

  • Neato!

  • Also.. there is SUBsonic ammo that should be shot with a supressor.. which will actually make it very much silenced...

  • @karinosai haha, that was on the ipad only poor people walk around their house with laptops. :D

  • @karinosai I'm not talking about reloading here, I'm correcting you on the fact the silencers do increase FPS instead of reducing it.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR Guess I'm going to have to explain it to YOU, the gas will have extremely marginal effect on the velocity of the bullet if the gas created by the burning powder is no longer expanding. If you're loading ammunition for a suppressed weapon, you won't be loading ammunition with maximum powder burn, thereby increasing the sound it makes. Try thinking about it, if you're going to load ammo to be as quiet as possible, are you going to pack more powder into the case than necessary?

  • @karinosai Guess I'm going to have to explain it to you. When the bullet leaves the barrel without a silencer, it's traveling at a certain speed. With a silencer on the gun, the bullet is still leaving the bullet at the same speed but it then has to travel through the silencer. Traveling through the silencer allows the gas to push the bullet even more giving it a higher FPS. Silencers don't reduce speed.

  • @zlee415 Sure, blame it on the computer. My "obersavtion" is that you Mac owners never seem to know what you're talking about.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR The only time a suppressor increases the velocity of the round is if you're using ammunition that isn't loaded with a powder quantity specific to the length of the barrel. Using any more is wasteful and pointless. Typically one would choose colder ammunition loads to reduce ballistic crack when they are using a suppressor. The point is to make as little noise as possible, not use the loudest ammunition available.

  • @karinosai A silencer increases the FPS, no way could it reduce FPS.
