@mcsw99 Aah really? That's very interesting! I was just surprised at how good it ended up sounding at this slow a tempo. It almost takes patience to listen to, but it becomes hypnotic. Thank you for the info.

@MithraMusic There's a reason why this performance is "insanely slow" ... apparently, there was a mistake on the original scores, stating a tempo marking of crotchet = 60 where it should have said minim = 60 (i.e. twice as fast). This was only spotted after Winchester Cathedral Choir had given the first performance and made this recording; other choirs who've performed it since have used the publisher's corrected copies with the faster tempo marking.

This is insanely slow, but somehow it is just as beautiful and incredibly relaxing as the versions I'm used to. Thanks for posting!
