This is an example of using an ATmega644 and an accelerometer to control a servo.

  • Nice....what microcontroller are U using?

  • @mike478911 ATmega644

  • Can I use this for beeper collar? Any ideas how to make one?

  • An accelerometer for a beeper collar? Whats a beeper collar? You should ask on my forum . . .

  • but why is it called "Accelerometer" (= measuring acceleration). Rotation is only the numeric integral over acceleration, that is angular acceleration and deceleration, because angular acceleration is the 2nd time derivative of the angle itself

  • Oh I was confused about your last post. What you meant was a plate that stays level to gravity despite movement (so objects do not fall off). I thought you meant something else . . .

  • Type in search "beeper collar"

It makes sond when dog is on point...

  • thats sick!

  • I believe they do do this - with gyros.

  • Yeah sure... why not...? refer the datasheet for the accelerometer MMA7260QT- a Micromachined Accelerometer from Freescale, on page 6 you would find it measures both: static as well as dynamic acceleration.... cheers
