  • i'm a fusion guitarist in portland Oregon and happened on your wonderful playing of Sudden Samba. Please know our thoughts are with you. We hope you are well. I speak for all of the Portland jazz community.

  • Thank you so much for your message from Portland where I once visited about 15 years ago . I and my 7 guitars are all right luckily. There is no doubt this is the natural disaster once in a millennium in my country. (History tells that the same scale one occurred in 869 A.C. in the same area)

But damaged areas are limited to the coast and city function of Sendai is recovering day by day.

Again, thank you for your care for me. Let’s enjoy fusion music together !!

  • 素晴らしい~

    頑張ってください。

  • 有り難うございます。頑張ります。

  • YOU GUYS ROCK! Your guitar playing reminds me of Kazumi Watanabe! Wish I could bring my Alto Sax over there and jam down... bass player and drummer are kickin' it as well.. I remember Sendai from GAMERA movie.... let's write a Gamera theme.... ha ha... keep it going- Griff from Amarillo

  • Thank you so much for your comment , Mr Griff !! Im really glad my guitar playing reminds you of Kazumi Watanabe, who is my idol and most favorite guitarist. You play Alto Sax? Sendai (of course, has recovered from the explosion damage,) has a very large-scale street jazz festival in September every year. Our band plays at the event ever year, so please come to Sendai with your Sax and a Gamera theme and shall we collaborate ?

  • OUTSTANDING !!! I LOVE THIS!!!!

  • I'm very glad to hear that you're alright. I have visited Japan a number of times but have not yet been to Sendai. When I was last in Tokyo I made it a point to go to the Pitt Inn where Allan Holdsworth had recorded a live album. I saw some incredible percussionists. My son studies japanese at a bi-lingual school in Portland. The children are raising money for tsunami relief. We have also had some benifit concerts. I read about how people were helping each other.I have faith in recovery!

  • Thank you very much for your comment from USA !!

I (on guitar) am very glad and my honor of your evaluation of our play.

I love Buzz Feitons emotional and melodious guitar play especially of Larsen Feiton Band.

I hope they reunite and also come to Japan someday.

    Don't you think so?

  • Great!! I can't believe this has been on YouTube for a year and there are no comments? This is one of the best versions of Sudden Samba I've heard. The guitarist makes Buzz Feiten proud I am sure. Everyone plays great !!
