@zytigon Believing and accepting Christ as your Savior are two separate things. Satan and the fallen angels believe in God and Christ. They have seen Them first hand. Yet Christ's sacrifice on the cross cannot save them. [James 2:19]. Even Christ's apostles that walked with Him on the earth preached the message of Salvation - That you must accept Christ as your God and Savior and accept the gift he gave you of dying on the cross.

@zytigonr You forget that a perfect person did exist and still lives, Jesus Christ and if you read the end of the book (Bible) Jesus becomes the only one worthy to open the book (starting in Revelation 5.) that begins God's judgments upon the world. It is also Jesus who will come to earth during the Great Tribulation and put an end to the wars that shall be going on in the world (Revelation 19:11-21).

@Aramadene If Matt 19v26 is true,' with God all things are possible ' then surely his grace is sufficient to take everyone to heaven. Surely God is not willing that any would perish 2 Peter 3v8. John 3v17. The ideas of love in the Bible are the candle in the darkness of other parts. Matt 5v38 Eye for eye, if it is the concept of proportionate response, stands against hell as a punishment. Maybe Jesus talked metaphorically of hell = stuff that degrades your life ( Matt 5v22 )

@Aramadene I like to think that the Jesus who said, " Then neither do I cast the first stone " , John 8v11, would also be the sort of person who would say [if there was a judgement day], " Let anyone who has lived a flawless life cast the first people into hell...oh so there is no one flawless....Then neither do I cast the first person into hell / neither do I condemn you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself unless I forgave everyone.

@zytigon As pleasant as that sounds, that's not actually true. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. Yes God gave his son but that was to wipe all our sins away. That being said; "Jesus saith unto him; I am the way, the truth and the life: NO man come unto the father, but by me." John 14:6. We must accept the holy spirit and ask Jesus into our hearts to be saved.
