the skunk is there because the division of the airforce that creates and designs stealth aircraft is called skunk works. That symbol is the logo for the skunk works division that creates and designs aircraft like the sr71 black bird f117 nighthawk U2 spyplane and B2 Bomber just to name the few that WE know about!
