Shame Burgess Meredith wasn't in more scenes. If you watch him here he is so calm and gentle compared to when he's Penguin or Mickey when he's just downright agressive and bad tempered in those two roles

Even at 25 and in the Navy. This scene always brings a tear to my eye, all the memories of my childhood at Christmas Eve. When we would be with the whole family at my grandparents ranch.
