  • those white specs are dust in the film can that has caused the film not to be exposed...

I hate that about pro8mm stocks...

  • @xpez - Oh right - weird no Pro 8mm stocks just straight Kodak vision 2 200t that had been hanging around a bit

  • Great looking shots. May I ask what file format/settings you use to upload? The grain on this looks fantastic..when I upload I get a lot of lumpy artifacting from the compression which makes the grain look like just plain old noise. Many thanks!

  • @x05e Hey thanks for the comments. Long time since but I think the format was 25fps H.264 720 by 576. 16-bit integer (little endian). I did it in final cut pro from a rank telecine. I think i was lucky with the f stop and the shadows it was roughly exposed at about 80 asa which may have helped the grain - however the highlights are blown - you can see in the sky. First time with a camera really, im a soundman in working life.

  • Nice looking footage! Perfect selection with the 85B rather than an 85A. These new 'vision film stocks" are remarkable. 200T shot outside and it looks absolutely great!I would be curious to know what kind of a camera you shot this on. A Canon?

  • @MREVANURY Hey Thanks for the comments - This footage was shot on a Nizo 4080. I also used an aspheron wide angle adapter which is great for handheld shooting and massive depth of field. The stock is the older vision 2 200t i think the new vision 3 version will look better (less grain+more detail). I just shot a promo with the same camera, will post samples asap. The nizo's r the best for dialogue+run and gun, my fave for the lens is the moviflex MS8 and GS8+isco 54 - 16mm not needed.
