A track inspired by the events that took place in the Third Battle of Ypres, better known as Passchendaele. The video consists of pictures I took in Ypres and Tyne Cot Cemetery, mixed with archive pictures from the Battle of Passchendaele.

The soundtrack consists of clips recorded during a visit to Ypres and a tour of the battlefields. The sample from "The Last Post" was recorded at the Menin Gate in Ypres.

All pictures and sounds were recorded on January 25th, 2009 in and around Ypres.

Instruments used:
- Prophet '08 (lead, melody)
- Nord Modular G2 (bassline)
- Sherman Filterbank 2 (distortion effects)
- TC Electronic M-One XL (reverb / delay)

  • Good work again, I recognize the Sherman sound immediately !

I was told my granddad carried the wounded out of the battlefield. Things are never the same again

  • It must have been one of the most hellish panoramas ever seen.

Thanks for your comments, keep up the good stuff & gear.
