That is not a hookworm but an 'Anchor worm,' not worm but a type of crustacean (Lernaea sp.). I hope the problem is rid off by now. Otherwise, just pick up the fish, remove the 'worm' (or dab a little 10 % formalin at the site ). Transfer all fish to another clean tank and dry up this tank (or add 10 % formlain and hold for an hour...clean again before use) . In future, it would pay to place your NEW fish in a smaller quarantine tank for a few days before introducing it into the main tank.

yes that is my cockatiel singing away.. of course he cant do that when I want him too.lol.. I think thats his jingle bells...
