As an old fan of star trek I have watched all TOS most of the TNG and Voyager as well as a lot of the Enterprise form wich your model relies on heavily. I think you have the right flavor and are going in the right direction. this fits the gap between NX-01 and NCC registry based on the foundation of the Federation. I read someone mention this would most likely be the ship of the Romulan wars. I would have to agree with that notion. Also this would be a good ship to launch a new TV series on.
