Lake Austin - Austin, TX. This is an eFlight Apprentice trainer plane that was stripped of its original graphics and new graphics cut and applied. Spinner was painted chrome and hyperion float kit custom-fitted to this foam body. The kit came with wooden inserts, which I mounted into melted-out voids in the foam fuselage using 15 min epoxy. Overall, the plane flew great and we had many take-offs and landings with only a few tweaks required for next flight.

  • Love your covering job!

I just put floats on my apprentice, but they mount to the stock mains in back, and with a piece of music bent to fit into the hole for the stock nose wheel.

  • @JeffinTD Thanks! I'm sure your mounting was simpler and more effective. But, this has worked fine for me. Plane flies very well with these floats. Fun project.
