There's a great band called THE CLAP that comes from Pirongia. I saw them open for Luger Boa at The Yot Club in Raggers 5th December 2010. Also there's a cafe in Pirongia too. They even serve cappuccino with cinnamon. Funny story....I asked for a cappucino in Taumarunui at the railcar cafe and they thought I was a poncy Aucklander. "We only have coffee here" they said.
