Great to see this again. 1987ish? Shame it stops when Gavs soloing! Gav and Miles are still gigging The Bluflies regularly. Saw Snake recently too with his band. What was the drummers name?
Fantastic band, saw them many times in Leeds '83 to '87 at the Astoria, Wrens, Queens Head etc - still have "I ate the little red rooster" on 45 but never could find anything else from them at the time. Thanks for posting.
Brilliant. I missed the live show but taped it off the telly and played it so many times our video recorder bust it (used to rewind at too fast mph). Still have it though in the loft. One of the few musical life changing experiences I have had and will cherish it til I die. Please give us part 2. Thank you kindly!
Probably the best unsigned band of all time. Good to see they stand the test of time!
Miles and Gavin were in a three piece called the Blueflies, and Miles went on to join Acoustic Alchemy, who have made some good music. American English is a good album.
Fantastic bit of nostalgia for me ! - I was also at this gig on the coach from Leeds. I remember some cracking nights at The Central Station - can anyone remember what number the "groove maker" got up to???
Part 2?
