IF YOU READ COMMENT PLEASE!! xoxo

Katie Martin has the best life she could ask for. She has great friends, great family and goes to a great school. The only thing she is missing is her luck. She has seen her favorite band in the world seven times, and still hasn’t met them. She’s trying to figure her life out now, since high school’s done and college is passing by faster than expected. Katie wants more then anything to meet these boys, she just knows it will change her life forever.

******************************************************************************

Katie woke up at 10:30 the morning before her first day of her final year in college. Her roommate was sound asleep in the bed next to her, so she quickly grabbed her clothes and toothbrush and headed off to the bathroom. Katie decided to go shopping with her three best friends before they all had to start up school again. New York was the perfect setting for Katie and her friends; the four of them loved to shop and walk around the streets during their days off. Katie and Vanessa go to the same school, but for whatever reason, they can’t board together because they have different majors, so Katie is stuck with some upper east side Paris-Hilton-wanna-be and Vanessa gets some insane science freak who loves doing experiments in their dorm. Mackenzie goes to school back home in Boston and Jenny’s off in Connecticut in business school. It’s become a tradition to meet in New York for the day before school starts and just hang out together. Katie and Nessa start tomorrow, Z goes next Tuesday, and Jenny starts the Wednesday after that. After getting dressed and brushing her teeth, she returned to her room.
“You’re phone woke me up.” Amanda said, throwing Katie’s phone at her.
“I’m sorry, it was on vibrate, wasn’t it?”
“I’m a light sleeper. And I need my sleep.” She grabbed her clothes (that barely covered what needed to be covered) and left.
“I can tell.” Katie said to herself. The just-turned 20 year-old hit the speed dial and called Nessa to ask her what time they were meeting to get Jenny and Z at the train.
“Hey, you up?” She asked.
“Yeah, I’ve been up for hours. Casey decided six in the morning was a good time to start exploding stuff in small metal containers.”
“This is going to be a very long year, isn’t it.”
“Longer than it should be, yes.”
“I wish we could afford an apartment together, away from Miss ‘I deserve to be in Hollywood’ and the next president of NASA.”
“Haha. Me too. Okay, so Z texted me this morning, her and Jenny are taking the 10:35 train, so we should get down to the station soon.”
“Okay, that’s why I called. I’m dressed, so I’ll meet you at your dorm in ten minutes?”
“Okay see you then.”
“Okay bye.” Katie hung up her phone and grabbed her bright blue bag off her desk chair in the corner of the room. She quickly brushed her hair and pulled the top back off her face in a bright blue clip. She looked in the mirror at her outfit before leaving the room. Her black skinny jeans made her bright blue flats pop. She pulled her silver three-quarter length jacket on over her white tank top and grabbed her white sunglasses off the dresser in the corner. On her way out the door, she passed by her ever so lovely roommate.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“I’m going to get Nessa, then go pick up my friends at the train station, then we’r-...”
“Oops! Don’t care!” Amanda walked into the room and blasted her music so she couldn’t hear Katie’s response.
“I hate her.” Katie mumbled under her breath, before walking away from her room. When she reached outside, the sun was already making the day warm, but there was a strong wind so Katie was glad she had grabbed her jacket. After a short walk, she reached Vanessa’s dorm and was knocking on the door. Her friend opened it and smiled, admitting Katie inside.
“Hi Katie!” Casey said, waving from her desk. (Which was covered in stuff that looked like it should be in a chemistry lab room... and stay there)
“Hi Casey.” Katie smiled.
“Okay, so we should probably go.” Vanessa looked at Casey. “Please don’t blow anything up while I’m gone.”
“Haha oh Vanessa you’re so funny. We are going to love living together.” Casey smiled and went back to her work.
“Come on Katie.” Vanessa turned and left, Katie right behind her. Once the door clicked shut, Katie turned to her friend.
“She seems nice, kinda weird, but nice.”
“Yeah, she’s okay. Besides the blowing up stuff at six in the morning and all that lab stuff all over our room, she’s not that bad.” The girls laughed and began their twenty minute walk to the train station.
