quick hint rob86a do u no the differance between a float and a trowel lol...

quick hint as your a left hander ...trowel away from the slope of the ceiling not into it.........then you wont dig big chunks of skim off with the edge of your float ....and you will have a nice neat smooth curve..

Hate to say it mate but at profesional level you should well be able to skim more than a ceiling and a wall in a day.

the trick with plastering at a professional level is the volume that you can two, i am at the stage now where i can skim your average size living room wall and ceiling in a day. I would do it in 3 wacks 2 coats aswell.

i can see that the guy in vid is bit slow if he can still get it flat with no marks in it good on him...ryan keep it up as for coment from "StretfordEndRed" plastering is not hard only if your crap at it! sounds to me like the way you work is all wrong im 34 been doing it 10yrs now on price/day work skimming/render back & eldows fine!and no dermatites. try labouring mite be more up your street
