Because in Matthew 3:16-17, Luke 1:41, we are told the holy spirit was already there it's like a said Jesus was only sent to the Jews (Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

@pastorpete, If you read the verse u quoted (john 16:13) the word "HE" is quoted 7 times which shows its a masculine word not a word for spirit. And if u say that verse is referring to a spirit that contradicts the bible

Muslims realise something. Christians dont believe in the same God you believe in. We believe in the God most high... our Lord and our saviour...we believe Jesus Christ!!! You's call to allah, but Jesus tells us to call to him. Because he is one with the God most high and he is the one and only God, Messiah, Saviour, the Alpha & Omega Beinning & End Amen!! Just remember that....

You are asking good questions but Jesus clearly said that the comforter was the Holy Spirit. Here is what Jesus said next. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
When we receive Jesus as our Lord, the Spirit comes into our hearts and gives us a comfort we can never know in this world..Be blessed my friend!
