@disparatedan she said in an interview that she hated breaking character and laughing and to combat this she would go away and say to herself that she hated them so she wouldn't laugh during a sketch :)

Aha! So these are from a different series. Was wondering why I suddenly found these. Love them!

I'm always happy to know that I still have a chance to meet some of the film/TV greats. I have a good-size list of the ones still alive, Ann Hamilton is definitely one of them :)

You'll have to be QUICK with Ann! Although sadly there is little info on her (that I'VE been able to find - and I've TRIED) she must be getting on a bit now!
But like I said - she was STILL WORKING last year...

Ann Hamilton usually does so well in keeping a straight face. It's funny seeing her break character :D

Yeah! This was in the early days - by the "Antique Shop sketch" days (see above) she had mastered the art of keeping that straight face.
Incidentally - I looked her up on IMDb and Wiki and they only have her joining Eric and Ernie when they switched to the Beeb.
Which is patently not true - as here she is, working with the boys in '65 on ATV. But then, there is very little info available on their ATV series.
I could find little on her except the fact she was still working, last year.
