Test marketed natural squirrel deterrent bird seed (no hot pepper involved) apparently turns some squirrels into total zombie maniacs. I'm naming this one Sunflower because she's so sweet.

  • Only when trapped have I seen a squirrel act like that. That thing is mean. A grey squirrel could tear you apart too. They're not the cute & cuddly things alot of people think they are. Great video.

  • @mastermind I was pretending to be brave, was really worried he'd push that screen out and rearrange my place.

  • @17smirnoff Thanks. I got the idea when some squirrels stormed a birdhouse at my Mom's house and built a nest. I affixed this one at waist-height to a fence and poured bird seed into it, then stopped making food accessible to the squirrels. They're boring out the hole but having a time of it because of the positioning. It's taking longer than I thought, but I'm sure they'll be living in there by winter.

  • @17smirnoff I like them better when I have a yard. At the time of this video I was in an apartment just trying to feed the birds. Now I've set up an old birdhouse purposely for the squirrels to gnaw out the hole and make a nest inside. That's going awesomely well. It's a great show. After they get in there I'll take a video of the action.

  • @rmmann1 lol,,, he did have a pissy attitude i just put peanuts and corn out for them in my yard. they growl at each other once in a while. they are very funny little animals.

  • @17smirnoff The funny thing about that is that they seem to get used to the cayenne. His pissy attitude seemed to be all about whatever was in that market research "squirrel proof" bird food. The squirrels were eating it anyway but it sure was making them mad and aggressive! The birds were more reluctant.

  • @MegaTaice They were famished, it was an insane winter. I was test marketing some squirrel deterrent bird food, this one kept coming so I added cayenne pepper. He kept eating it anyway, but the combination of the two and the other squirrels challenging his food source made him act insane.

  • I would not be so angry, it just very hungry
