Ubuntu Integrated HIV and TB Clinic (South Africa)

To address the twin epidemic of HIV & TB in South Africa, MSF and local government have launched a pilot project in Khayelitsha's Ubuntu clinic. Ubuntus innovative public health approach integrates HIV and TB services.

If a patient is having TB (tuberculosis) theres likelihood that the patient is HIV positive and its vice versa, if the patient is HIV+ the possibility (exists) that that patient can contract TB, so thats why we decided to integrate the two services.
