The BGM in Ratchet's ending is the same character theme she had in the Sakura Taisen movie. To win the game with Ratchet, you have to beat the game at least once -- and even then only under a specific series of events: she's a secret ending. Technically Ratchet is Taiga's superior officer in the NY trope, and she's older than him by a few years, so I think this relationship is rather adorable in that Taiga is the innocent and inexperienced one.

To get this ending you have to beat the game once. Afterwards, on your second playthrough, you'll notice some differences (Ratchet picks Shinjiro up in Chapter 1, not Kayama.) You then have to look for Ratchet on the free-movement phases, and do her events. Also, you have to date her in Chapter 7 (her date is so cute!). Finally, when Sunnyside asks which of the girls should be your partner in the final mission, pick her.

To get ratchet get her to go to Harlem with you...miss this and you're doomed no matter what. Don't freak out if Gemini is automaticlly picked to be sacrificed, it means nothing. I swear, I hate games that make it obviouse to the players who the favorite girl is to the creators of the game. That sterotypical bitch was EVERYWHERE! I'm still trying to get supernova and this is my third playthough, I think I know how to get it now.

u can make ending with any girl on this game an get this game on PS2 this sping on english version but why do they have to put 2 disc on 1 case 1 is on english an the other is japanese

@sandman299us The funny thing is that Taiga is supposed to be around the same age Oogami was when he became captain of the Hanagumi, but was designed to look more boyish than Oogami did. Which is compounded by Ratchet's relative age. In a way, I guess this is sega's way to make up for not having an Ayame ending in Sakura Taisen 1 (continuity problems aside, of course). >.>

actually there is a file on gamefaqs with a translation of each ending. And in the matters of love she is only 4 years apart.. I hear that couples could be as much as 10 to 15 years apart and they still could make it work. In matters of love age is of no concern as long as the couple is willing and tackles all the challenges in their way...
