An interview with writer/director/animators Shawnee Gibbs and Shawnelle Gibbs, creators of the web cartoons "Old Ladies Driving" and "Adopted By Aliens" for G4 networks' Torrent TV in Canada.
The twin filmmakers, whose works have been compared to Adult Swims' "The Boondocks," "Family Guy," HBO's "The Life and Times of Tim" and "The Proud Family" discuss their unique approach to storytelling as women in animation.
The San Francisco Bay Area natives cite their experiences growing up in Oakland, California as inspiration as well as influences ranging from Octavia E. Butler, The Wayans Brothers, Tim Burton and Aaron McGruder.
Check out the sisters' other videos including their animated projects and a Serena Williams spec commercial.
