Waterlooians.ca spokesperson David Wellhauser interviews a No Dumping Sign about its thoughts on urban sprawl on the Waterloo Moraine in Doon South, Kitchener, Ontario. Developers have taken the City to the Ontario Municipal Board, effectively eliminating the public consultation process. Doon South is a sensitive groundwater recharge area of the Waterloo Moraine. Part of the Blair Creek Subwatershed it recharges the Roseville Swamp which directly recharges the Grand River.

The banks of the Grand River share a legacy of industrial pollution. Toxic chemicals like Trichloroethylene (TCE) are linked to serious illnesses in our communities.

Environment Canadas A Federal Perspective on Water Quantity Issues states 'We can no longer take our extensive water supplies for granted.'
