Lenovo ThinkPad T400 Laptop Screen Flickering

Bought this laptop 1 year and 4 month ago, now here is my Lenovo Thinkpad T400 screen flickers. Every time it boots up, the screen flickers crazy, after Windows starts, the problem still comes back every a few minutes.

What u can do is to replace the screen. You can buy one replacement screen, and install it by yourself. I bought one from ebay, now, the laptop screen is working fine. I found that the LG screen manufactured in 2009 has quality problem, avoid LG screen when you buy the new one. For installation, there are many videos on how to do that on youtube.

I have exactly the same problem. I think Lenovo should recall these LG screens as what they did in China. I will contact Lenovo for replacement although my warranty has been expired.

The same fukn problem !! except not all the screen but a strip in the middle how do we slove this??

Yeah...maybe I should look into those Panasonic Toughbooks. I think their quality remained the same. Although...their machines are really really expensive! And to think the thinkpads were expensive back in the day...I barely use the laptop nowadays anyway...

@factionxvt408x u should look into another laptop brand. thinkpad quality when down (i have problems with my thinkpad too after 1 year and 2 months). Their customer service is horrendous and does more harm then good. Ill be looking for other brands from now on.
