Thank you for your videos. It is nice to see a person that has diabetes taking control of your care and not letting diabetes rule your life. Keep the videos coming. I look forward to seeing many more in the future.

Hey Bill - thanks SOOO much for your video! I too have had T1DM for 19 years and was reluctant to try insulin pumps (more for cosmetic reasons) but now would never go back! I just want to post to you and any other readers interested in diabetes out there that there is a fantastic book out called "Cheating Destiny," which is the truly the best book I've read about life with diabetes etc. I highly encourage all to check it out.

Basal is your background insulin. So kind of like what your lantus was doing. The nice thing about insulin pumps it that it only uses fast acting insulin, so you can better manage your background insulin needs. For example while sleeping or during different times in the day your basal needs maybe be different. Getting the right basal pattern is more than half the battle when pumping. You can google basal or I would suggest getting the "pumping insulin" book by john walsh

Thanks so much, you are such a generous person, for me, having the disease has taught me to be humble and is a GREAT lesson to learn early in life. I've been on lantus, so I don't understand about basal levels, where can I find info about it ? All the best and thanks again hermano.

Thanks for the comment. The omnipod is a great pump. The freedom from the tubing some people really enjoy. The biggest thing to remember is to take your time starting on the pump the right way. Getting your basal insulin levels is key. The work upfront will be well worth it. Insulin pumps in general for me, are better way to manage your diabetes.

I love your videos Bill, I was wandering whats your opinion about the omnipod ? People seem to love it, I'm about to get one, thanks again and keep the great work, it has been tremendously helpful.
