  • FUCK POLITICS...they need to legalize marijuana....and other hemp plants(herbs)...that I can grow in my backyard!

  • To be fair the I in SSI and SSDI stands for insurance. It started as a mandatory insurance plan but LBJ moved it from and untouchable fund into the general fund where it could be and was looted. Now that crocked politicians have looted all the money they are trying to make it sound as if it were welfare or something.

  • We are not all equally situated when it comes to health care. I pay a tax on the gas I use, the electricity consumed, the phone calls I make, etc. In other words, I can avoid these taxes by not driving, reducing the amount of electricity I use, riding a bicycle instead of driving, using a cell phone instead of a land line. Health care is not the same, not even close. And gov is the worst vehicle for providing any type of health care. Look at the HMO and prescription fiascoes, not to mention SS.

  • Yes, healthcare is a form of infrastructure. Those utilities are developed by private parties and the government, like the TVA providing electricity for private factories and homes, or legalized monopolies for private utilities. Why is it theft to pay for healthcare but not theft to pay for roads, dams, police or military? Why can't we pay as individuals for private security instead of pay taxes for cops? If you think all taxation is theft, that's one thing but why leave out healthcare?

  • Who builds the infrastructure? Telephone lines were products of the telephone industry constructed over utility easements, maintained by the industry that installed them. Same goes for electricity, gas, and other similar types of infrastructure. I pay a phone bill, gas bill, elec. bill., each heavily taxed. But this conversation started out about health care, not infrastructure. Health care is not "infrastructure." I can no more steal from you to pay for my care than you can from me, nor the gov

  • I never said jobs were a right. And it isn't theft to recover what was invested in you, or in a business. Or to maintain the externalities you benefit from. Wealth isn't just from individual acts but from community efforts also. To maintain the infrastructure and security you benefit from taxes must be gathered. Within all individual wealth is a percent that is because of the public structure, to benefit from the community and not pay a portion back (however small) is to be a parasite.

  • I'm neither rich or poor, and I don't consider myself middle class. Your premise is that jobs are a right. You have the right to the fruits of your own labor, you have the right to enter into contracts where the exchange is based upon mutual interest. But you don't have the right to steal or have others steal for you. What you are suggesting is theft in the name of doing public good. Property covers all assets, including money. Your view of "public good" is misanthropic and unsound.

  • Not you specifically unless you're some large business owner, in which case the employees earned the profit for the owner, enough to buy the business. Instead of taking property from them you tax them to reinvest in the infrastructure and people on which they flourish. Owners keep a tidy profit, employees are taken care of, and the next generations of entrepreneurs and employees are prepared. Not perfect, but better than the alternative. I'm all for taxing the rich, but not middle class & poorer

  • What, did you lose something? And you think you found it in my pocket?

  • Not theft, recovery.

  • But I don't have my hand in someone else's pocket stealing from them, hypocrite.

  • go hr676. he keeps calling it single player instead of single payer lol
