and also, if the US government is going to call for more college graduates, considering the fact that we do not have enough in the united states to compete in a global market, why can't we open it up to people who want to work, make money, PAY TAXES, and help the US economy? the fixing of the broken immigration system would exponentially improve america's current economic status! do you think that they want to remain illegal? instead of complaining about 12 million illegal immigrants
@bub8811 amnesty means that there is instant forgiveness right? then calling the dream act an amnesty bill makes no sense! a person eligible for the dream acts would:
a)have to pass background checks
b)REMAIN living up to a standard of moral living
c)receive and education or work in the military
So people eligible are not just forgiven, so how can it be amnesty!
Why can't people at the age of 35 join the military and go to school? they are just as able! and who said 6 was the youngest age?
It Was a vote on the Dream act.. without the dream act attached to the military bill the bill would have passed. the Dream act everyone thinks its for high school kids wanting to go to college so why does the dream act apply to ages 6 thou 35? it is nothing more than an Amnesty, they have reaped free education long enough, time to pay the piper- The dream act is nothing more than just a dream that will not become reality!
Free education? most of these students have NO funding, they raise it entirely on their own. And a lot of them came here when they were very young and wouldn't even have known they were here 'illegally' till they were much older.
But you're right Francia, they're horrible horrible criminals, you deserve a much better life then them thanks to your brilliant choice of parents.
Wow! I'm surprise...I wonder, if the case was they voted yes to the Dream Act and the opponents appealled the case, what will you be saying? Wouln't you be claiming that the 'majority' wished that you were pardoned and that the people of USA is Ok with people that broke the laws to enter and stay (and get a degree for free) to the country?
@wisniewz let's do something to fix it!

It was not a vote on the DREAM Act? We haven't had a chance to fight yet? We haven't lost anything?
If George Orwell were only alive to listen to this ...
