Looks like you grew up in the 80's just like i did. Activision had alot of great games like megamania, seaquest,h.e.r.o., frostbite, keystone kapers, pitfall, spider fighter, crackpots, pressure cooker etc. All great!! Vanguard and phoenix are fantastic games...Always been a fan of atari.
Kaboom! is one of my four all time favorite games along with Gyruss, Wonder Boy and Twin Cobra. I did'nt even discover Kaboom! until 2004 despite having it since 1991 because I did'nt have a set of paddles. My high score is 2927, so close to being a member of the Actvision Bucket Brigade.

Exactly.
(1) Activision (Chopper Command! River Raid! Kaboom!)
(2) Imagic (Atlantis! Demon Attack! Dragonfire!)
(3) Atari (uhhh ... Pac-Man? E.T.?)
OK, that's unfair. Some Atari carts were really good -- Yar's Revenge, Phoenix, Vanguard. And Defender wasn't bad.
