The Missouri has reoccupied its floodplain west of Onawa, Iowa. As a result, it has inundated houses and trailers positioned in the lowlands.

  • thank you for the video! My parent have a trailer on Blue Lake. All they could do was move out the stuff they wanted to keep and leave the rest. It's so sad. There are people up there who live there year round and have no where else to go.....

  • Thanks for the info. I was born and raised in that area. Now live in Missouri. Decatur Lake was my favorit spot to spot light deer at night. I was checking elevations for towns. Blencoe is a good ten feet lower than Onawa. Has anybody heard how they are doing???

  • Decatur Lake as we call it. Close to the Decatur toll bridge on the Iowa side.

  • Not sure but I believe it is “upper Decatur” if so I used to shot waterfowl where those trailers sit as late as the early 1970’s. Or it may be Blue lake in either case very few people live there year round.
