April 25, 2011 SALT LAKE CITY—Known for its rigor and intensity, the Department's SWAT School will host multiple candidates from law enforcement agencies throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
SWAT School is a week-long course that the Salt Lake City Police Department offers for basic SWAT training. SWAT Commander Lt. Rich Brede walks us through the day's exercises, including high ropes, confidence, team-building and practical applications. Additionally, SWAT candidate and SLCPD Officer Liz Jaquez describes her SWAT school experience so far.
