@PaulDA2000 And he can't help but be the blues...lol It's written in the heritage. Many run away from the blues, but bottom line, it always calls ya back home. It's Gospel's child, and soothes the soul when nothing else can...the real deal. Amen. lol

Mr. Brown always said he never really liked the blues. He evenm said that in his autobiography (the first one I believe.

When did he say that? He ALWAYS remembered his Blues roots!!! He lamented that no one played the blues anymore except B.B. King and Bobby "Blue" Bland.

One of Mr. Brown's greatest recordings.
He never really liked the blues, from what he had said, but when he did a blues number it was like he was born to sing the blues!
